Embrace Effortless Style On-the-Go- what to pack for a weekend in Paris

Early Autumn is a perfect time for a gateway in Europe- the crowds are already gone and the weather is usually warm and gentle. Paris is often a top of the list for European gateways and we prepared a guide what to wear in Paris (and what not to!) And you probably have most of the items in your closet!
So what do Parisians wear? Let's find out!

Forget about red berets, super mini tweed dresses and cutesy cardigans- this version od the Parisienne exists only on romanticised Pinterest boards. Parisians like simple yet sophisticated clothes.

Think sophisticated and grown up pieces with a touch of luxury. You want to be able to create multiple outfits with just a few pieces.

Quiet luxury had gone mainstream and with it, a little tweed jacket. And for a reason- it's a perfect piece whether you pair with with elegant trousers, throw over a dress or pair with t-shirt and baseball cap for a sporty take on the trend.

Looking at social media influences, it's easy to think that everyone in Paris wears only designer clothes. Nothing could be further from the truth! Parisiennes are a living proof that style has nothing to do with money!

The Breton top keeps evolving with trends- most recently fashion crowd went crazy for the Toteme beige and black, bell sleeve, stripy version. You can't go wrong with a Breton top, whether it's a t-shirt or a jumper, it always adds a Parison touch to your outfit.

I won't tell you anything new when I say that a black dress in Paris reigns supreme. The beauty of it is that you can wear it from morning to night, any cut, length and shape that's flattering to your body shape. Add ballet flats for the daily walks and swap them sparkly heels for a dinner date.

There is always a pair of white jeans in a Parisians wardrobe. They just look chic without trying. Recently, an elegant version of white/cream trousers gained fashion traction. So whether it's a pair of jeans or suit pant, add white bottoms to your suitcase for an extra touch of refinement.

Accessories are Parisian women secret weapon. They will take the same outfit from morning to evening with just a simple accessories swap. Sunglasses, belts, hats, jewellery- pick your favourites (just not all at once, bien sûr) Look to fashion houses and favourite brands for styling tricks.

Last but not least, our favourite subject- the shoes! With loafers and ballet flats being in fashion, you won't have any troubles of finding something comfortable yet stylish. As for the evening- you can go all out with crystals and sparkle to jazz up that little black dress!

As for Paris don't-s, there aren't a lot. After all, Paris celebrates artistic expression through fashion. Just beware of looking like a cos play version of a Parisienne and you'll be just fine :)
